In light of recent news reports and police investigation regarding allegations of poor hygiene and lapses in cross infection control at a dental surgery in Nottingham - We at keen dental care are committed to constantly updating and auditing our cross infection control standards. Although our standards are already high - we regularly train and re- train ALL the staff engaged in your care.
The CQC report on our practice has now been published. There is a summary and also the full report can be downloaded.
Please go to http://www.cqc.org.uk/ and search for Dentist's in Biddulph where you will find our surgery and the report.
We are extremely pleased with the report and we hope that as a patient you will be pleased with the high standard of treatment and care we try and provide.
Is it really nearly 2 weeks ago since we had our first CQC inspection. As a practice we were ready for anything - and thanks to the efforts of all the staff we passed with flying colours. As soon as the report is published - we shall put a link on the blog so that you can see the full report.
As a practice - your care as our patient is key and we feel that the outcome of the CQC report will reflect this.
Anyone wanting to find out more about the CQC and what it does - please go to - http://www.cqc.org.uk/
Instead of sending our usual Christmas cards to each other, we decided to pool what we would normally have spent and donate it to a worthwhile cause.
We decided to pool our money and buy essential food items to donate to a local food bank.
We raised £60 and purchased essential items such as UHT milk, rice and pasta. This we donated to St Lawrence's Church, Biddulph. They told us that the foodbank was an essential lifeline in the community.
As it was so successful, we will definitely be doing the same next Christmas.
